Why was my signature rejected, and what steps should I take?

Your signature may be rejected due to format issues, mismatch with records, or poor image quality. Since your signature is a crucial part of account verification, it needs to be clear and match your official records. Below are some common reasons why your signature might have been rejected:

  • Mismatch With PAN or Aadhaar Records: If your signature does not match the one in government records, it may be flagged as incorrect.

  • Blurry, Smudged, Or Unclear Image: If the uploaded signature is not clearly visible, cropped, or too faint, verification will fail.

  • Typed, Digital, Or Uppercase Signatures: Only handwritten signatures are accepted. A digitally created or typed signature will be rejected.

  • Multiple Or Overlapping Signatures: If you submit a document with multiple signatures or extra marks, verification might not go through.

What Should You Do Next?

  1. Use A Proper Handwritten Signature – Sign with a black or blue pen on a clean, white sheet of paper. Make sure it closely matches the one on your PAN or Aadhaar.

  2. Capture A Clear Image – Scan the signature using a scanning app or take a high-quality photo ensuring there are no shadows, smudges, or extra marks. The signature should be fully visible without cropping.

  3. Re-Upload Or Redraw On The App – You can either upload the scanned signature through the Lakshmishree website/ Shree Varahi app
