Why did my PAN verification fail, and what should I do now?

Your PAN verification may fail due to multiple reasons, including technical issues or incorrect details. Here are some common causes:

  • Incorrect PAN Details: If the PAN number entered does not match the details registered with the Income Tax Department (ITD) or KYC Registration Agency (KRA), the verification will fail.

  • Name Mismatch: If the name on the PAN card does not match the one in the ITD records, verification may be unsuccessful. You can check the name as per PAN by visiting the official NSDL website.

  • PAN and Aadhaar Not Linked – If your Aadhaar and PAN are not linked, verification may fail, as the system cross-checks the details from government records. Ensure they are linked before retrying.

  • PAN Marked Invalid: If your PAN has been deactivated or is marked invalid by NSDL, you must reactivate it by contacting the ITD.

  • Existing Account With The Same PAN: If a PAN is already linked to an account with Lakshmishree, a new account cannot be opened with the same details.

  • System Maintenance Issues: Sometimes, verification may fail due to temporary issues with ITD, KRA, or internal systems. In such cases, retry after some time.

What To Do Next?

If the rejection is due to incorrect information, you can update the correct PAN details and retry verification through the Shree Varahi Re-KYC Portal.

If your PAN has been marked invalid, you will need to contact NSDL or the Income Tax Department for resolution. If you need further assistance, reach out to Lakshmishree’s support team.
