One of the oldest customs in the Indian stock market is Muhurat Trading. The Bombay Stock Exchange started Muhurat Trading in 1957, and when the National Stock Exchange was established in 1992, it followed the tradition.
It is a special trading session on the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights in India. During Muhurat Trading, the stock markets, including the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE), are open for about an hour. It marks the beginning of the new Vikram Samvat, the traditional Hindu accounting year.
This year, Muhurat Trading will be held on Sunday, 8 November 2026, marking the start of Samvat 2083. On NSE and BSE, the normal market session runs from 2:20 PM to 3:30 PM IST. Stocks covered by the Closing Auction Session (CAS) stop normal trading at 3:15 PM and move to a closing auction. All trades carry normal settlement obligations, and markets remain closed on Tuesday, 10 November for Diwali Balipratipada.
| Session | Timing (IST) |
| Normal market (non-CAS securities) | 2:20 PM – 3:30 PM |
| Normal market (CAS securities) | 2:20 PM – 3:15 PM |
Muhurat Trading on Diwali is a long-standing tradition of the Indian stock market. On this day, it is considered auspicious to invest in the share market.

Upside to target: +32% | P/E: 33.97
RR Kabel is one of India's leading makers of wires, cables and electrical products, serving residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure customers. Revenue has grown from ₹2,536 cr in Q3 FY26 to ₹3,284 cr in Q2 FY27, with an EBITDA margin of 9.2% in the latest quarter. Copper and aluminium price swings are the key risk.
Upside to target: +27% | P/E: 40.2
HFCL manufactures optical fibre cables, telecom equipment, networking solutions and defence electronics. Q2 FY27 revenue was ₹2,542 cr (Q1: ₹1,915 cr), with an EBITDA margin of 25.9% and PAT of ₹362.9 cr. 5G, broadband and data-centre demand support growth, while working capital and order execution need watching.
Upside to target: +32% | P/E: 30.2
Heritage Foods sells milk, curd, paneer, ghee, ice cream and other dairy products through an established farmer-procurement network. Revenue stayed above ₹1,300 cr for two quarters (₹1,323 cr in Q2 FY27), and EBITDA margin recovered to 5.8% from 5.0% in Q4 FY26. Value-added products are the growth lever, and milk procurement costs are the main risk.
Upside to target: +28% | P/E: 62.98
LG Electronics India makes televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and microwave ovens. Q2 FY27 revenue was ₹7,380 cr, EBITDA ₹701 cr (9.5% margin) and PAT ₹489 cr. Premiumisation and growth in smaller cities support demand, but margins are below Q1 and the P/E of about 63 already prices in a lot.

Upside to target: +24%
Meesho is a value-focused marketplace connecting consumers, sellers and logistics partners, with a strong base in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Q2 FY27 revenue was ₹4,131.58 cr, and the quarterly loss has narrowed from ₹490.68 cr in Q3 FY26 to ₹132.45 cr. It is still loss-making, so sustained profitability is the thing to watch.
Upside to target: +16% | P/E: 182.3
Lenskart is one of India's leading organised eyewear companies, combining online sales with a large physical store network and in-house manufacturing. Q2 FY27 revenue was ₹2,845 cr, with an operating margin of 21.9% and PAT of ₹227 cr. Its P/E of about 182 leaves little room for error.
Upside to target: +28% | P/E: 48.3
Groww is a digital investing platform offering stockbroking, mutual funds, ETFs and derivatives, and is expanding into wealth management, asset management and lending. It benefits from rising retail participation and SIP adoption. SEBI rule changes and swings in market activity are the main risks. Groww competes with the broking business of Lakshmishree.
Upside to target: +27% | P/E: 116.7
Apollo Micro Systems designs and builds electronic and electro-mechanical systems for missiles, naval defence, aerospace and electronic warfare. Q2 FY27 revenue jumped to ₹391.7 cr from ₹253.5 cr in Q1, with an EBITDA margin of 29.3% and PAT of ₹46.2 cr. Long government procurement cycles and a P/E of about 117 are the key risks.
