STOCK MARKET HIGHLIGHTS
Stock market today witnessed sharp selling pressure on May 8, with benchmark indices ending lower amid renewed geopolitical tensions and rising crude oil prices.
Markets opened weak and remained under pressure through the session as concerns over Iran-US tensions weighed on investor sentiment. However, buying at lower levels in IT, healthcare and consumer durable stocks helped indices recover partially from intraday lows.

STOCK MARKET HIGHLIGHTS
Stock market today ended marginally lower on May 7 in another volatile trading session, with benchmark indices holding near flat levels amid hopes of easing geopolitical tensions following reports of a possible US–Iran peace deal.
The market opened on a positive note extending the previous session’s gains, but intermittent profit booking during the day erased most intraday gains, dragging indices near the day’s low by closing.
Despite volatility in frontline indices, broader markets remained strong and continued to outperform.

Stock market today erased most of the previous session’s gains and ended on a weak note on May 5, with benchmark indices closing lower amid mixed sectoral trends.
The market started on a subdued note and faced sustained selling pressure in the afternoon session, dragging the Nifty to an intraday low of 23,882. However, some buying at lower levels helped indices recover partially towards the close.

STOCK MARKET HIGHLIGHTS
Stock market today gained more than 0.5% on May 4 amid robust April auto sales data and easing crude oil prices, which supported a strong rebound from previous sell-offs.
The market opened the week on a firm footing, with the Nifty 50 climbing close to the 24,300 mark in early trade. Although mid-session profit booking pared a significant portion of the intraday gains, the index managed to hold above the 24,100 level at close.
More than 180 stocks touched their 52-week high on the BSE during the session, including BHEL, Adani Ports, and Bajaj Auto.
