Bears dominated the stock market today, causing the BSE Sensex to plummet over 1,300 points and dragging Nifty below 25,800 during the day, amidst escalating geopolitical tensions and in anticipation of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell's upcoming speech.
Sensex was down by 1272.07 points or 1.49%, closing at 84,299.78
Nifty concluded the day at 25,810.85, decreasing by 368.1 points or 1.41%.
Bank Nifty ended the day with a fall of 856.2 points or 1.59% at 52,978.10.
