Revenue and Net Interest Income Show Growth
Piramal Finance’s consolidated revenue from operations increased to ₹3,659.19 crore in Q2 FY27 from ₹2,871.55 crore in Q2 FY26. Consolidated total income also rose to ₹3,717.16 crore from ₹2,900.27 crore over the same period.
Net interest income increased approximately 35% year-on-year to ₹1,530 crore from ₹1,132 crore. NII represents the difference between interest earned on loans and other interest-bearing assets and the interest paid on borrowings and other funding sources.
The growth in revenue and NII indicates an increase in income generated by the company’s lending business. However, funding costs, credit quality, operating expenses and loan-loss provisions remain important factors influencing the profitability of an NBFC.
Net Profit Rises 67% Year-on-Year
Piramal Finance’s consolidated net profit increased to ₹545.42 crore in Q2 FY27 from ₹326.99 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The increase in profit was accompanied by growth in total income and net interest income. The company’s performance should also be assessed in the context of its funding costs, operating expenses, impairment provisions and asset quality to understand the sustainability of earnings growth.
For quarter-on-quarter comparison, the corresponding Q1 FY27 figures should be taken from the original financial statements and compared on the same consolidated basis. The year-on-year figures above should not be interpreted as quarter-on-quarter growth.
Assets Under Management
Piramal Finance’s assets under management stood at approximately ₹1.13 lakh crore, according to published results coverage. AUM is an important operating indicator for a lending company because it reflects the scale of its managed lending portfolio.
Growth in AUM can support future interest income, although its effect on profitability depends on portfolio composition, lending yields, funding costs and credit performance. The precise current-quarter and year-ago AUM figures should be checked against the company’s investor presentation before publication.
What the Results Mean for Investors
Piramal Finance’s Q2 FY27 results show strong year-on-year growth in consolidated net profit, total income and net interest income. The increase in earnings indicates improved reported profitability during the quarter.
Investors tracking the company may monitor subsequent trends in net interest income, assets under management, funding costs, credit costs, non-performing assets and margins. These indicators can help assess whether the company can sustain earnings growth while managing credit risk.
