The BSE Sensex falls more than 650 points in early trade, while the NSE Nifty slipped below the 23,200 mark. Selling pressure was visible across most sectors, reflecting concerns that sustained geopolitical uncertainty could increase inflationary pressures and affect India’s economic outlook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest decline follows a sharp rise in global crude oil prices after developments in the West Asia conflict raised fears of potential disruptions to energy supplies. Brent crude extended its recent gains, a worrying sign for India, which imports the majority of its crude oil requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Higher oil prices tend to have a direct impact on the Indian economy.
