Larsen & Toubro (L&T), one of India\u2019s biggest engineering and construction companies, posted strong earnings for the fourth quarter of FY25. The company reported a consolidated net profit of \u20b95,497 crore, which is 25 percent higher than the \u20b94,396 crore profit it had in the same quarter last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This profit was better than what analysts had expected. According to a Moneycontrol poll, the average estimate was for a 10 percent rise in profit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
L&T’s revenue also grew well in the March quarter. The company earned \u20b974,392 crore in revenue, showing an 11 percent rise from \u20b967,079 crore recorded in Q4 of FY24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even with the strong results, L&T shares ended slightly lower by 0.28 percent on May 8. The stock closed at \u20b93,312 per share on the BSE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company also announced a final dividend of \u20b934 per share for the financial year 2024-25, which will be given to eligible shareholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
L&T’s strong order book and large infrastructure projects across India continue to support its growth. Investors will now look forward to the company’s guidance for the next financial year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
