Shares of Muthoot Finance Ltd rose over 4% on April 21 following the company\u2019s announcement of an interim dividend of \u20b926 per share for the financial year 2024-25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company\u2019s board also proposed increasing the firm\u2019s borrowing limit to \u20b92 lakh crore and approved the appointment of George Joseph as an independent director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the BSE, Muthoot Finance shares closed 4.5% higher at \u20b92,206 apiece. The stock\u2019s 52-week high stands at \u20b92,435, while the 52-week low is \u20b91,509. The company’s market capitalisation is currently \u20b988,560 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the stock exchange filing, the record date for the interim dividend has been fixed as April 25, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cShareholders whose names appear as on close of business hours of April 25, 2025\u2014(a) as Beneficial Owners as per the list to be furnished by the Depositories for shares held in electronic form, and (b) as Members in the Register of Members for shares held in physical form\u2014will be eligible to receive the interim dividend. The dividend will be paid within 30 days from the declaration date,\u201d Muthoot Finance stated in its filing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The non-banking finance company had earlier reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of \u20b91,363 crore for the December quarter, marking a nearly 33% rise compared to the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
