In this sale, the seller was the Bharti Airtel promoter entity Indian Continent Investment disposing of the firm&#8217;s 0.9% stake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bharti Airtel confirmed later that the sale of the 0.84% stake did happen, whereby the shares were purchased by the other promoter entity Bharti Telecom for 1.20 crore shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Major Buyers in the Deal<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Several top institutional investors participated in the block deal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>SBI Life Insurance<\/strong> bought <strong>3.01 million shares<\/strong> for <strong>\u20b9500 crore<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>NPS Trust<\/strong> purchased <strong>2.71 million shares<\/strong> for <strong>\u20b9450 crore<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Vanguard<\/strong> acquired <strong>1.7 million shares<\/strong> for <strong>\u20b9282 crore<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other key buyers included <strong>Reliance Trust Insti, Fidelity, India Acorn Fund, Nordea, Redwheel, AustralianSuper, and ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund<\/strong>, who each picked up shares worth <strong>\u20b9120-259 crore<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strong Financial Performance<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Bharti Airtel reported a 505% jump in net profit, reaching \u20b914,781 crore for the December 2024 quarter (Q3FY25), compared to \u20b92,442 crore in the year-ago period. The sharp rise in profit was due to a one-time gain of \u20b97,546 crore from the consolidation of a majority stake in Indus Towers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u2019s revenue grew 19% YoY to \u20b945,129 crore in Q3FY25, compared to \u20b937,900 crore in Q3FY24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Growth in Customer Base<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Airtel <strong>added 0.6 million postpaid customers<\/strong> in Q3FY25, bringing its <strong>total postpaid customer base to 25.3 million<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The company\u2019s <strong>market share in the smartphone segment<\/strong> continued to rise, with an <strong>addition of 25.2 million customers<\/strong>, marking a <strong>10.3% YoY increase<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>With a <strong>strong market position<\/strong> and <strong>strategic refinancing<\/strong>, Bharti Airtel remains a key player in India&#8217;s telecom sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you have a news tip for Lakshmishree reporters?
