The company\u2019s consolidated net profit rose 14% year-on-year to Rs 5,380 crore, while revenue from operations dipped slightly to Rs 44,696 crore. The board also declared an interim dividend of Rs 2.5 per share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NTPC&#8217;s coal output, however, grew by 61% to 9.03 MMT from captive mines despite gross electricity generation declining to 88.46 billion units compared with 90.30 billion units a year ago.
