The total bid amount exceeded <strong>\u20b93 lakh crore<\/strong>, making it one of India&#8217;s most subscribed IPOs, following historic listings like <strong>Coal India (2008)<\/strong> and <strong>Mundra Port (2007)<\/strong>, which had topped \u20b92 lakh crore in subscription amounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>\u20b96,560-crore<\/strong> public issue received <strong>4,622 crore bids<\/strong> against <strong>72.75 crore shares<\/strong> on offer across the <strong>BSE<\/strong> and <strong>NSE<\/strong> by the end of bidding. The breakdown of subscriptions included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Non-Institutional Investors (NII)<\/strong>: 41.42x<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIB)<\/strong>: 209.36x<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Retail Individual Investors (RII)<\/strong>: 6.92x<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The grey market premium of the IPO skyrocketed to \u20b965 on the last day of bidding, at a 92% premium, hinting at an extraordinary demand for Bajaj Housing Finance shares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, the company had raised \u20b91,758 crore from anchor investors. The IPO comprises a fresh issue of equity shares aggregating to \u20b93,560 crore and an OFS of shares aggregating to \u20b93,000 crore by the parent company- Bajaj Finance. The IPO facilitates Bajaj Housing Finance in meeting the RBI regulations that have made it binding for NBFCs at the upper layer to get listed by September 2025.
