Central Depository Services Ltd. has fined \u20b91.3 crore for settling the charges of violations related to directions given by Sebi. “The amount of \u20b91,30,04,550 as recommended by HPAC has been approved by Panel of Whole-time Members vide their approval dated.,” Sebi said in an order on August 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The charges pertain to show-cause notice dated November 13, 2023, issued to CDSL due to non-compliance with various clauses of Sebi circulars related to dealing with debt securities in default. CDSL had opted to settle the proceedings through a settlement application filed on January 11, 2024, without denying or admitting the findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
