Suzlon Energy Q3 Results: Net Profit Soars 91% to Rs 387 Crore, Revenue Doubles to Rs 2,969 Crore

Suzlon Energy reported a remarkable performance for the quarter ending December 31, with its net profit jumping 91% year-on-year to Rs 387 crore. In the same quarter last year, the company had recorded a net profit of Rs 203 crore.

Its revenue from operations, too, increased two folds to Rs 2,969 crore in Q3 FY25 against Rs 1,553 crore in the year-ago period. Total income also surged 91% YoY to Rs 3,002 crore from Rs 1,570 crore in Q3 FY24.

Suzlon’s EBITDA more than doubled to Rs 500 crore in the quarter, while EBITDA margin improved to 16.8%. Record quarterly deliveries at 447 MW reflected strong operational performance by the company.

The wind turbine generator segment accounted for the largest contribution in terms of revenue, growing over two-fold YoY to Rs 2,336 crore in Q3 FY25 as against Rs 1,004 crore in Q3 FY24. Revenue from the foundry and forging segment increased 65% YoY to Rs 146 crore.

The group CEO, JP Chalasani, while commenting on the quarterly performance, pointed to steady growth and a robust order book at 5.5 GW, thereby assuring that the plans for expansion of its manufacturing capacity in the country are going well on schedule to ensure that Suzlon plays a valuable role towards the renewable goals for India.

Suzlon Energy’s stocks, that plumbed to losses in earlier traded session regained, ended with in the green to Rs 50.25 on January 27. Considering, the company after market-hour disclosed Q3, the stock will most definitely be talked in the market on January 28.
