SEBI Wins Gold for Public Communication at India International Trade Fair

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) earned the prestigious gold medal for public communication and outreach excellence at the 43rd India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2024. The award was presented by Pradeep Singh Kharola, Chairman and Managing Director of ITPO, on November 27 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Sebi had put up the Bharat Kaa Share Bazaar pavilion in association with various organisations such as NISM, BSE, NSE, MCX, NCDEX, CDSL, NSDL and AMFI. This was the seventh Sebi pavilion put at the IITF. This year’s IITF had begun on November 14 and continued till November 27. The Pavilion aims at increasing investor education and awareness about financial markets.

The event also featured interactive activities such as talk shows by market experts, engaging skits, and muppet performances. These initiatives were geared toward educating visitors on the ways of investment opportunities, safe practices, and the risks of fraudulent schemes and online scams.

This recognition outlines the commitment of SEBI to financial literacy and investor protection in India.
