Samvardhana Motherson reported strong results for the January–March quarter (Q4 FY25), with a 20% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹1,050.5 crore. In the same quarter last year, the company had reported a profit of ₹878.63 crore.

The company’s revenue also went up by 6%, reaching ₹29,316.83 crore in Q4 FY25 compared to ₹27,665.92 crore in Q4 FY24. Following the results, the company announced a 1:2 bonus issue, which means one bonus share will be given for every two shares held by shareholders. This issue is subject to shareholder approval in the upcoming general meeting.

Apart from the dividend, Samvardhana Motherson also announced the final dividend of ₹0.35 per share in FY25. Shareholders can verify their eligibility in this regard on June 23. Dividend payment, if approved, will be done on September 26.

The company also announced that its board of directors approved raising up to ₹8,500 crore by issuing private placement of non-convertible debentures. This move will enable the company to expand further as well as become more financially stable.

The company reported a 40% jump in net profit for the entire financial year 2025 to ₹3,803.02 crore. Total revenue surpassed ₹1.14 lakh crore, registering an increase of more than 15%. The EBITDA climbed 17% to ₹10,877 crore, indicating robust operational performances.

Chairman of the company, Vivek Chaand Sehgal, appreciated the company’s performance in the midst of worldwide difficulties. He emphasized that Samvardhana Motherson registered its highest-ever sales, integrated 23 acquisitions, established fresh facilities, and ventured in new industries successfully. He further added that the company’s prospects are bright with a booked business value of more than $88 billion.

Following the Q4 results, Samvardhana Motherson’s share appreciated over 2% to close at ₹152.12 on May 29. The stock has appreciated by about 12% in the past month, but is still down over 2% in 2025 till date.
