Pidilite Industries Reports 21% Increase in Q1FY25 Net Profit to Rs 571 Crore; Revenue Rises 4%

Pidilite Industries posted good bottom-line results for the first quarter of FY 2025. Consolidated net profit jumped by 21 percent to Rs 571 crore from Rs 474 crore in the same period last year. Its net sales rose by 4 percent to Rs 3,384 crore from Rs 3,275 crore in the same period last year.

EBIDTA before non-operating income has risen 15 per cent to Rs 813 crore.

According to Bharat Puri, Managing Director of Pidilite Industries Ltd, it was an exacting performance in the backdrop of election-related disruptions and acute heat wave conditions. Notwithstanding this, he said that the company turned in strong underlying volume growth while maintaining healthy profitability. He further added, “With the monsoon season progressing well and a host of festivals around the corner, he expects growth to continue. We will continue investing in future growth initiatives and build a resilient supply chain,” he said.

The underlying volume growth was at 9.6 per cent in the June quarter, with business-to-business emerging as a big growth driver with a volume growth of 18 per cent, aided by both domestic and export markets. The consumer and bazaar businesses of the company posted an 8 per cent volume growth with better growth coming in from emerging markets than in urban areas.

With the earnings announcement slated for later in the day, Pidilite Industries’ shares were trading 52.20 per cent higher at Rs 3,106.20 apiece on the BSE.
