Muthoot Finance Jumps Over 4% After Declaring ₹26 Interim Dividend for FY25

Shares of Muthoot Finance Ltd rose over 4% on April 21 following the company’s announcement of an interim dividend of ₹26 per share for the financial year 2024-25.

The company’s board also proposed increasing the firm’s borrowing limit to ₹2 lakh crore and approved the appointment of George Joseph as an independent director.

On the BSE, Muthoot Finance shares closed 4.5% higher at ₹2,206 apiece. The stock’s 52-week high stands at ₹2,435, while the 52-week low is ₹1,509. The company’s market capitalisation is currently ₹88,560 crore.

According to the stock exchange filing, the record date for the interim dividend has been fixed as April 25, 2025.

“Shareholders whose names appear as on close of business hours of April 25, 2025—(a) as Beneficial Owners as per the list to be furnished by the Depositories for shares held in electronic form, and (b) as Members in the Register of Members for shares held in physical form—will be eligible to receive the interim dividend. The dividend will be paid within 30 days from the declaration date,” Muthoot Finance stated in its filing.

The non-banking finance company had earlier reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of ₹1,363 crore for the December quarter, marking a nearly 33% rise compared to the same period last year.
