Lumino Industries Files IPO Draft to Raise ₹1,000 Crore

Kolkata-based Lumino Industries, a key manufacturer of conductors, power cables, and electrical wires, has filed draft papers with SEBI to raise ₹1,000 crore through an Initial Public Offering (IPO).

The IPO includes a fresh issue of ₹600 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) of ₹400 crore by promoters Devendra Goel and Jay Goel. In addition, the company may raise ₹120 crore in a pre-IPO round. If that round is completed, it will be deducted from the fresh issue amount.

Of the fresh issue proceeds, ₹420 crore would be utilised for debt repayment. ₹15.08 crores is proposed for buying equipment, civil works, and facility upgradations.

Lumino Industries caters to all major EPC players in India, including some international companies and also Montgomery companies like Kalpataru Projects International, Jackson, and Monte Carlo. The company’s order book as of September 2024 stood at ₹1,803.5 crore, comprising both domestic and international projects; the latter in the US, Nepal, and several African countries.

The company recorded robust growth in FY24, with a 346% jump in profit to ₹86.6 crore from ₹19.4 crore in FY23. Revenue also surged by 85.1%, reaching ₹1,407.3 crore compared to ₹760.2 crore the previous fiscal. For the six months ending September 2024, Lumino Industries reported a profit of ₹63.7 crore on revenue of ₹947.6 crore.
