Your signature may be rejected due to format issues, mismatch with records, or poor image quality. Since your signature is a crucial part of account verification, it needs to be clear and match your official records. Below are some common reasons why your signature might have been rejected:
- Mismatch with PAN or Aadhaar records: If your signature does not match the one in government records, it may be flagged as incorrect.
- Blurry, smudged, or unclear image: If the uploaded signature is not clearly visible, cropped, or too faint, verification will fail.
- Typed, digital, or uppercase signatures: Only handwritten signatures are accepted. A digitally created or typed signature will be rejected.
- Multiple or overlapping signatures: If you submit a document with multiple signatures or extra marks, verification might not go through.
What should you do next?
- Check your registered email – If your signature was rejected, you will receive an email explaining the reason. If you don’t find it, check your spam or junk folder.
- Use a proper handwritten signature – Sign with a black or blue pen on a clean, white sheet of paper. Make sure it closely matches the one on your PAN or Aadhaar.
- Capture a clear image – Scan the signature using a scanning app or take a high-quality photo ensuring there are no shadows, smudges, or extra marks. The signature should be fully visible without cropping.
- Re-upload or redraw on the app – You can either upload the scanned signature through the Lakshmishree website/app
