ICICI Prudential AMC Emerges as Second-Best Mega IPO of 2025, Delivers Over 20% Listing Gains

Indian Markets | IPO Watch

ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company has delivered one of the strongest IPO performances of 2025, emerging as the second-best performing mega IPO of the year among issues raising over ₹10,000 crore.

The stock made a solid debut on December 19, 2025, listing at ₹2,600 per share on the NSE, marking a premium of over 20 percent compared to its IPO price. With this performance, ICICI Prudential AMC ranks just behind LG Electronics India, which continues to lead the IPO return charts this year.

Strong Showing Among Mega IPOs

In a year dominated by large public issues, ICICI Prudential AMC stands out for its strong market reception and post-listing performance. The IPO raised approximately ₹10,603 crore, placing it firmly in the “mega IPO” category and reflecting sustained investor confidence in India’s asset management space.

The company’s listing performance highlights continued interest in financially strong, cash generating businesses with long-term growth visibility, especially in the mutual fund and asset management segment.

LG Electronics Remains the Top Performer

LG Electronics India continues to top the list of 2025’s mega IPOs. The stock debuted in October with a 50 percent premium, listing at around ₹1,710 per share after an exceptionally strong response. Its IPO was subscribed more than 54 times, making it the most heavily bid billion-dollar issue in India since 2008.

Other Large IPOs in 2025

The list of notable mega IPOs this year also includes:

  • HDB Financial Services, which listed in July with a 13 percent premium after its ₹12,500-crore issue was subscribed nearly 17 times.
  • Tata Capital, which had a relatively muted debut in October, listing with a marginal premium of around 1 percent despite being the largest IPO of the year at over ₹15,500 crore.

The strong listing of ICICI Prudential AMC reinforces a clear market trend: quality businesses with strong fundamentals and predictable cash flows are being rewarded, even amid selective investor sentiment. Asset management companies, in particular, continue to attract long-term capital due to rising financialisation and steady inflows into mutual funds.
