Hitachi Energy Shares Hit 20% Upper Circuit After Strong Q3 Results

Shares of Hitachi Energy India surged 20% on January 20 following its impressive December quarter results. At 10:20 am, the stock was locked at Rs 12,158 per share, hitting the upper circuit. The company’s market capitalization stood at Rs 51,527 crore, with a 52-week range of Rs 5,637 to Rs 16,550.

The sequential and YoY net profit of Hitachi Energy grew over five times at Rs 137 crore in Q3 FY25. Operating EBITDA at Rs 168.9 crore posted a double-digit margin of 10.1%. Revenue in Q3 rose 31% YoY at Rs 1,672.4 crore, with operational efficiencies and a positive mix in execution driving growth.

A high point for the quarter was becoming free of debt at December 31, 2024, supported by strong collections and a drawdown under its High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) scheme.

The company received its biggest-ever quarterly orders worth Rs 11,594.3 crore, driven almost exclusively by a big HVDC orders for renewable energy transmission between Maharashtra and Gujarat. Transmission, power quality, substations, industries, and data centres experienced high demand driving growth as well.
