Bajaj Healthcare’s manufacturing facility in Savli, Vadodara, Gujarat, has received approval from Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). This achievement enhances its global credentials and allows direct supply of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) to Australian and New Zealand markets.
Already approved by the USFDA and the European Union, this latest certification is valid for 24 months. Bajaj Healthcare highlighted that the recognition would help expand its global footprint and attract more CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) contracts from existing and potential clients.
In a regulatory filing on December 6, the company stated, “This approval underscores our compliance and manufacturing excellence, paving the way for greater exports and partnerships in regulated territories.”
Strong Global Presence and Financial Turnaround
Bajaj Healthcare was originally incorporated in 1993 as a professionally managed organization dealing in APIs, formulations, and nutritional supplements for pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and food, respectively. Presently, the company has over 550 clients nearly in every part of the world and exports its products to as many as 62 countries, including Europe, the USA, and Australia.
Consequently, the financial performance has seen a considerable improvement. Bajaj Healthcare reported a net profit of ₹94.64 crore in Q2 FY25 against a loss of ₹34.60 crore in the same quarter last year, while revenue from operations grew 31.5% YoY to ₹133.08 crore.
Shares of the ₹1,192.39 crore market capital Bajaj Healthcare surged sharply for the day on December 06. The stock rose over 14% to close the day at ₹432.70 in a reflection of investor confidence the TGA approval.
