Revenue Growth Continues

Swiggy’s revenue from operations rose to ₹7,571 crore in Q2 FY27 from ₹5,561 crore in the same quarter last year. This represents year-on-year growth of approximately 36.1%.

The increase indicates continued expansion in the company’s business. Swiggy operates across food delivery and quick commerce, with Instamart serving customers looking for groceries and other everyday essentials.

While revenue growth remained strong, total expenses also increased to ₹8,703 crore from ₹6,711 crore a year earlier. Expenses exceeding revenue contributed to the company’s continued net loss.

Net Loss Narrows Year-on-Year

Swiggy’s consolidated net loss declined to ₹922 crore from ₹1,092 crore in Q2 FY26. This marks an improvement of ₹170 crore, or approximately 15.6%, compared with the corresponding quarter last year.

However, the sequential trend was less favourable. The net loss increased from approximately ₹791 crore in Q1 FY27, indicating that profitability remains a key area to monitor.

The company’s performance will depend on how effectively it balances business expansion, operating expenses and investments in its growth segments.

Food Delivery and Instamart Remain Key Areas to Watch

Swiggy’s business includes its established food delivery platform and its quick-commerce service, Instamart. Both are important to understanding the company’s revenue growth and path towards improved profitability.

For food delivery, investors may monitor order growth, customer demand and operating efficiency. In quick commerce, the pace of expansion, fulfilment costs and the economics of individual orders will remain important factors.

The latest consolidated results provide an overall view of Swiggy’s financial performance. Segment-level disclosures in the official results filing can provide further detail on the contribution and performance of its different businesses.

What the Results Mean for Investors

Swiggy’s Q2 FY27 performance presents a mixed picture. Revenue increased by more than 36% year-on-year, while the consolidated net loss narrowed compared with the same quarter last year.

At the same time, the increase in the loss compared with Q1 FY27 and the rise in total expenses show that stronger revenue has not yet translated into consistent quarter-on-quarter improvement in profitability.

Investors tracking the company may focus on revenue growth, expense management, segment-level performance and progress towards reducing losses in subsequent quarters. The results should be assessed alongside the company’s official financial statements and management commentary rather than revenue growth alone.
