Incorporated in December 2014 as UrbanClap Technologies India Pvt. Following its conversion to a public limited company in January 2025, the name was changed to UrbanClap Technologies India Ltd., and subsequently, in February 2025, it was rebranded as Urban Company Ltd.

Urban Company operates as a multi-category, hyperlocal services platform that connects consumers with trained, background-verified service professionals. Its offerings include home maintenance services such as cleaning, pest control, plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, appliance servicing, and painting, alongside personal care services like skincare, hair grooming, beauty treatments, and massage therapy.
The company also introduced a new vertical under the brand ‘Native’, offering home solutions such as water purifiers and electronic door locks, thereby diversifying its product portfolio. As of June 30, 2025, Urban Company had operations across 51 cities in India, the United Arab Emirates, and Singapore, excluding cities served through its joint venture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The platform operates across more than 12,000 service micro-markets and had an average of 54,347 monthly active service professionals during the three months ended June 30, 2025.

Since inception, Urban Company has facilitated transactions for 14.59 million unique consumers, of which 6.81 million were onboarded between July 2022 and June 2025, reflecting the platform’s growing popularity and adoption.
