Apollo Hospitals is set to expand its flagship hospital business with the launch of three new facilities in Kolkata, Delhi, and Pune in FY26, with operations expected to begin before Q3 or early Q4 of the financial year. This was announced by Managing Director Suneeta Reddy during the company’s post-earnings investor call.
Apart from these launches, Apollo also plans to open new hospitals in Gurgaon and Hyderabad later in FY26. The Gurgaon, Pune, and Kolkata facilities will be hospital asset acquisitions, while the Hyderabad center will be an asset-light greenfield growth model. The Delhi cancer hospital will be an expansion as a brownfield.
Apollo had previously announced six hospital projects for FY26, including expansions in Mysore in addition to the above cities. The company has allocated ₹1,700 crore for these projects, out of which ₹1,300 crore will be invested in the next fiscal and the remainder in the year after that.
Looking ahead beyond FY26, Apollo has an even larger growth in the pipeline, with four greenfield projects in Chennai, Varanasi, and Mumbai, and a brownfield expansion in Lucknow. This ₹4,400-crore long-term growth plan is expected to add 3,512 beds to Apollo’s network over the next three to four years.
Apollo hospitals business recorded a strong Q3 performance with revenue growing 13 percent year-on-year to ₹2,785 crore and net profit rising 21 percent to ₹348.3 crore. Operating metrics too were strong with an EBITDA margin of 24.1 percent, supported by higher occupancy rates, higher Average Revenue Per Occupied Bed (ARPOB), and good patient flows. Occupancy rose to 68 percent from 66 percent, and ARPOB grew 4 percent to ₹60,000.
