Shares of JSW Infrastructure surged 10% on October 29 following a strong Q2 performance, with net profit rising 46% to Rs 372 crore, up from Rs 254.4 crore a year ago. Revenue from operations grew 18% to Rs 1,001.4 crore, driven by increased cargo volumes and a boost in capacity utilization at coal terminals in Mangalore, Paradip, and Ennore. The company also recorded a 67.5% EBITDA margin, a sharp rise from 53.8% last year, due to higher third-party cargo volumes, which now represent 46% of total volume.
JSW Infrastructure handled 27.5 million tonnes of cargo during this quarter, up 16% YoY. The company guides for a volume growth of 10% for FY25. The company also intends to expand its capacity to 400 MMT by 2030. Brokerage MOFSL is bullish over strong growth drivers and has a target price of Rs 350. The brokerage projects a 14% volume CAGR and a 23% EBITDA CAGR through FY27.
